Blessings in a Backpack

Defero is excited to announce that Blessings in a Backpack is Defero’s pro bono client for the year and is proud to help this non-profit organization throughout their Web redesign. Often, children who receive free or reduced cost meals at school don’t have enough food on the weekends. Blessings in a Backpack is a non-profit organization that helps them by filling their backpacks on Friday afternoons with easily prepared food. They currently feed over 11,500 children in seven states! Defero is working with the organization in an effort to increase awareness and drive donations through a restructuring and renovation of their current Web site. To learn more about donating or getting involved, visit the site at http://www.blessingsinabackpack.com.

Getting Voters Excited

Defero has just launched a new drive-to-web campaign for Casino Rama, one of the leading casinos in Canada. The campaign is one more example of the fully integrated results achieved through our partnership with Marshall Fenn, a traditional agency out of Toronto, Canada. This fully comprehensive campaign uses all forms of media from TV and billboard to bus wraps to drive Casino Rama patrons to the newly launched micro site. All these efforts get people excited about the campaign between Johnny Cliff and Lester Plainfuss, the two characters vying for votes on either the Yes or No for Excitement platforms, respectively. This campaign is a great example of how to use all available media, digital and otherwise, as well as build awareness through leveraging social media. Check out the site here (and maybe take a stab at voting!): www.casinoramavote.com.
